Irene Ng

Irene Ng is the authorised biographer of Mr S. Rajaratnam and writer-in-residence at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute. Her first volume of the pioneering biography, The Singapore Lion (2010) won an Excellence Award for the ‘Best Book/Best Writer’ at the Asian Publishing Awards. Her anthology The Short Stories and Radio Plays of S. Rajaratnam (2011) brought his literary legacy to the public notice, inspiring stage and film adaptations for a contemporary audience.

She was formerly an award-winning political correspondent and a Member of Parliament in Singapore.
