Rory Padfield

Dr Rory Padfield is an environmental social scientist working as a lecturer in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds following academic positions at Oxford Brookes University (2016-2019) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2010-2016). In his teaching and research, Rory engages in the broad themes of uneven development in the Global South, natural resource governance, business practices and sustainable management of supply chains, and media and digital geographies. Rory draws on a variety of academic perspectives to pursue critical questions around ethics, social and environmental responsibility, and local-global political economy.
