Dr Rusli Cahyadi is a researcher at the Human Ecology Department, Research Centre for Population, Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI) since 2000, now known as the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). He also works as a part-time lecturer at the Department of Anthropology, University of Indonesia.
