Dr Sense Hofstede researches the role of the Chinese party-state in Beijing’s foreign policy and cross-Strait politics. He previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher for ReConnect China at Ghent University, Lecturer at Leiden University, and Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute, after obtaining his PhD in Comparative Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore.
